Professor Pete Ford is the Chief of Staff and lead for the Sustainable Innovation theme and is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Devon University. With nearly two decades of clinical experience, he is known for his commitment to healthcare innovation and sustainability.
He is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Exeter, where his leadership connects with both academia and frontline healthcare to address challenges in the NHS. Professor Ford is a driving force in transforming healthcare’s environmental impact. His efforts have led to significant national and local awards, including winning the National HSJ Towards Net Zero Award in 2023. A committed educator, he supports trainees and junior researchers, cultivating the next generation of healthcare professionals dedicated to sustainability and innovation.
